Davis Cup Tennis – New Zealand vs Bosnia and Herzegovina

We had the absolute thrill of hosting McKay Stadium’s first-ever international sporting event over Waitangi Weekend, as Davis Cup Tennis came to town🎾

It took more than a week of preparation to transform our basketball courts into a world-class tennis venue, complete with over 900 sold-out seats across two epic days of action. From court installation, sound and lighting, seating setup and television crews on site, to players training on the court throughout the week — it was a true community effort that delivered an unforgettable event.

The cherry on top? New Zealand mounting an incredible comeback from 0–2 down to win the tie 3–2, sending fans home buzzing.

And then, as if that wasn’t enough, the install and pack-down crew worked tirelessly to return the venue to regular programming by Tuesday morning. An epic effort all round.
